Symposia
We
have conducted live symposia from one half to three days in length, for
audiences from 50 to 700 clinicians. The Annenberg Center has hosted
symposia at its meeting facilities located on the Eisenhower Medical
Center campus in Rancho Mirage California, and at meeting locations
throughout the United States. The Annenberg Center houses a 485-seat
auditorium; a large foyer and rotunda with a permanent art collection
that is perfect for breaks, receptions and meals; on-site dining
facilities with a kitchen; and four classrooms capable of seating from
40 to 125 participants that are suitable for breakout sessions or
smaller symposia.
Visiting Faculty Programs
Visiting
faculty programs combine two of the educational features that
physicians like best - live local meetings and the opportunity to
interact with nationally recognized experts. The Annenberg Center has
much expertise in managing large scale visiting faculty programs. It
has successfully managed large scale national Visiting Faculty
programs, managing over 500 speakers, and scheduling and managing
almost 700 meetings per program.
The Annenberg Center provides excellent speaker training and program
monitoring to ensure a consistently delivered program message at each
event. We monitor program evaluations closely and follow up with
speakers and grantors when a particular speaker's program receives low
marks. We have successfully managed speaker training meetings, bringing
faculty and regional thought leaders together for program training and
consensus building. We also have developed cost-effective, self-study
retraining modules for program updates and recertification of speakers.
Fellows Mentoring Programs
The
Annenberg Center has had a successful history of developing and
managing repeat Mentoring Programs for GI fellows, oncology fellows,
and cardiology fellows. These programs are designed as educational
weekends where Fellows receive clinical and research information and
practical advice on career planning and practice management issues
through interaction with recognized experts in their field of study.
Small faculty to fellows ratios and reserved time for small group
discussions ensure that these weekend programs are memorable both to
the fellows and the participating faculty.
