About Us

The Annenberg Center for Health Sciences at Eisenhower (ACHS) is a non-profit, nationally accredited organization providing educational programs and services to health care professionals and consumers.

We are a leader in developing medical education programs that cost-effectively utilize live meetings, print, video and audio teleconferencing, satellite broadcasts, and computer-based technologies teaching formats. We operate an award-winning, in-house, complete design/graphics department. Our staff includes specialists in instructional design, visual communication arts, telecommunications production and conference services. They are experts who understand and know how to communicate effectively with professional and consumer audiences.

The Annenberg Center for Health Sciences was founded in 1981 as a distinguished forum for the examination of health care issues and the advancement of science and medicine. Over the years this remarkable facility and staff have reached hundreds of thousands of health care professionals around the world through their unique conference and telecommunication facilities. A pioneer in distance learning, the Annenberg Center has pushed the delivery of educational programs to new frontiers.

We have evolved into a truly unique organization unmatched in the country. The Center's mission, "Annenberg Center for Health Sciences arms health care professionals with the capabilities to succeed through education... acting as a trusted partner for life long learners", points directly to the bold tactical directions needed to stay a leader in this fast-changing market.

The Annenberg Center is an educational partner of the Eisenhower Medical Center and one of its three entities. Continuing education programs for Eisenhower physicians, nurses and other health care professionals -- and a wide variety of health care programs for members of the community -- are held year-round at the Annenberg Center.

The other components of Eisenhower Medical Center are the Eisenhower Memorial Hospital, and the Barbara Sinatra Children's Center. The three entities share a campus in Rancho Mirage, California, near Palm Springs, about 100 miles east of Los Angeles.
